Perimenopause and ADHD coaching

Is coaching right for me?

Here are 5 questions women might ask themselves to figure out if perimenopause + ADHD coaching with you is the right fit:

  1. Am I noticing that the strategies I used to manage life no longer work the same way in midlife?

  2. Do I feel more scattered, overwhelmed, or emotionally reactive since entering perimenopause?

  3. Am I realizing I may have ADHD (or another form of neurodivergence) now that my hormones are shifting?

  4. Do I want practical tools, not just information, that help me manage my energy, focus, and mental load?

  5. Am I looking for support that understands both the hormonal changes of midlife and the challenges of ADHD?

Coaching for women in midlife

Midlife can feel like a perfect storm. Your hormones are shifting, your energy is unpredictable, and if you’re neurodivergent, the coping strategies that used to work may suddenly stop working. Many women first recognize the signs of ADHD or other neurodivergence during perimenopause, when hormonal changes make focus, memory, and emotional regulation so much harder.

That’s where coaching comes in. My role is to help you navigate both: the very real physical changes of perimenopause and the unique challenges of ADHD in midlife. Together, we’ll:

  • Rebuild routines and rhythms that actually fit your brain and energy levels right now (not the ones that worked in your 20s).

  • Tackle the mental load by simplifying systems at home and work so you’re not constantly running on empty.

  • Create strategies for focus and follow-through without shame or self-criticism.

  • Learn how hormones impact your brain so you can plan, pace yourself, and give your body what it needs.

  • Reframe self-judgment and build more compassion for yourself during this transition.

This isn’t about “powering through” or pretending midlife doesn’t affect you. It’s about honoring the changes, finding what works now, and building a life that feels calmer, clearer, and more aligned with who you are.

Coaching vs. Therapy:

It’s common to wonder whether coaching or therapy is the right fit for you. While both are supportive, they serve different purposes.

Therapy follows a clinical model. It may include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Therapy is the right level of care for women navigating trauma, mood disorders, or mental health needs.

Coaching, on the other hand, is not therapy. Coaching does not involve diagnosis or formal evaluation. Instead, coaching is forward-focused. The goal is to help you create new strategies, habits, and perspectives that lighten your mental load and allow you to thrive. Coaching is especially effective for women in midlife navigating perimenopause, ADHD, and the stress of juggling so many roles. We focus on tools you can use right now like boundary-setting, energy management, and systems for focus and follow-through.

During your free consultation call, I’ll help determine if coaching is the right fit based on your goals. If I believe therapy or a higher level of care would serve you better, I’ll be upfront and guide you toward resources.

Privacy: Because coaching is not medical treatment, I don’t keep formal health records like progress notes or treatment plans. I simply maintain basic client information, session notes, and goals to track our work together.

Where I Can Help:

  • I can provide therapy only to women who live in Texas, where I am licensed as a Professional Counselor.

  • I can provide coaching to women anywhere in the U.S.

It matters that you understand the difference between coaching and therapy so you can make the choice that’s right for you. If, at any point in our coaching work, it becomes clear that mental health services are needed, I will refer you to a licensed professional in your area for the appropriate level of care.
